So…I seriously had no intentions of updating my dear blog much this week because I have seriously a ZILLION things I am trying to get done…but it appears that I have some addiction, so here I am!!
Anyway, I guess you can see that I didn’t add any new pics as I thought I might! Truth be told, those images are all still on the camera waiting to be uploaded!! I spent yesterday morning rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get things done and then I painted in the afternoon! And yes, I was on the computer some trying to pick out which six images we want printed on canvas for our bedroom…and I still don’t know! I made some progress, but still need to sit down in total silence with no distractions and get that little project figured out!
And on that note, I am also working on getting a phrase “made” for our bedroom to be applied (like a transfer) above those images. So…there is that! I can’t wait to get these last few “details” done and our room finished up!!
The painting??? Well, we have quite a little list (which seems to get longer all the time!!) of rooms and walls we want painted!! Yesterday I tackled the wall that is on your right as you head up the stairs. Dark, chocolate brown! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Anyway, a few weeks ago my friend Lisa sent me a link to a blog that had some cute decorating ideas…one of those was to cover stretched canvas (from a craft store) with fabric. So, we bought our five various sizes and shapes of canvas over the weekend and I ordered the fabric from Etsy just this afternoon! Oranges, blues – VERY fun stuff!! I tried to upload a picture on here, but I can’t seem to figure that out, so I guess you just have to wait until we have it to see what I am talking about!!
Why are we going crazy and trying to do a ton of stuff all at once you might ask?!?! Some of our friends from Kansas are coming out to visit at the end of May and we want to have as much done as possible! It is all stuff we were planning on doing anyway, but having company is GREAT motivation!! So…between now and then, we will be busy! But that means that once summer is here (although last week the temperature hovered around 90 several days!), we won’t have any big projects hanging over us and we can enjoy the lazy days of summer!!! Or as lazy as they get with two small kids anyway!!
So…TOTALLY changing the subject here, I took the kids to get their hair cut today. Huntler’s is perfect…he always gets the same ‘do!! Now, Miss Gentry…well, I am not sure yet! I have never dreamed of having a daughter with long, flowing hair. I mean…that just isn’t me and I have never envisioned Gentry with this long hair that I spent hours braiding or anything like that! Now, if her hair somehow becomes super curly and she develops cute little ringlets, by all means I am growing it out. However, that does NOT appear to be the case in the immediate future, so we will leave it short!! Ok…back on track here. I took her in January to get it cut and it had already grown a ton, so we headed back today. Instead of her normal bob…which we have had done twice now…I opted for the “stacked bob.” That is how my hair is. Plus, my dearest friend Lisa just took her youngest last week and had the same cut done…Believe me, Avery’s hair is MUCH cuter! So…that being said, this new ‘do is going to have to grow on me…or grow out!! HA! That would be better! Good thing her hair grows fast and we don’t have anything important coming up soon! As in my class reunion! It should be grown out by then!! That is the nice thing about hair…it grows back!!

If I don’t post much this week, just know I am using my time wisely (what a concept!!) and getting stuff done that needs to be done!! However, IF I get the chance, you know I’ll post!
