HaPp-Y

Oh Miss Gentry…she is our HaPpY girl! The last week or so she has been walking around saying “happ-y” over and over and over again! And she emphasizes it just so…happ-y! Like everything she does, it is way too cute!! Oops, am I bragging again?!!!

We spent yesterday running errands and I took this series of photos before we left! I knew that the odds of keeping that darling little kerchief in were, shall we say slim to none, so once I had her all dolled up for our trip out and about, I took her out front and snapped away! Thank goodness I did! By the time we were not even 10 minutes away, the kerchief was out. Shortly after that, a barrette was missing (you can’t see them in the photos). A little while later, a pigtail was out. Are you kidding me??? She looked so stinkin’ cute and within 20 minutes she had herself looking like a little ragamuffin!!! Oh well, these images are darling…at least I captured something cute on “film!”

So, we had originally planned to head to the mountains for a picnic this weekend and I was going to take tons of photos to share. However, considering we were gone pretty much ALL day yesterday, that is out now because we have lots to accomplish around the house today! So, hopefully we’ll get that done in the next few weeks before it REALLY starts to get hot down here! We did manage to have a mini-picnic though yesterday! We took our Mr. Goodcents and ate it at a park! Does that count?! It didn’t hold a candle to the visions I had in mind of our big lunch amongst the rocks and cacti, but the kids had a ball! They did way more playing than eating! If you know Gentry, that is a HUGE statement as to how much fun she was truly having – that girl can eat!!

For those of you who may be wondering, I came down to the computer last night with all my notes from the Photoshop seminar and was all geared up to do some editing on these images before I shared them. Well, Photoshop won’t open…something with the registration. I was sooooo irritated! So, until we get ahold of Adobe, I guess I can’t even put my newfound skills to use! So…these images are SOOC…straight out of camera! Like that? My new photog lingo?!!

As always, enjoy!
This is my fave from the day of sassy Miss Gentry!

Click on this one and check out those pants! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! They are so fun and sooo girl! I found them at Sam’s before Christmas and knew that she (or me?!!)  HAD to have them! However, both the shirt and pants are a tad on the “big” side, so I need to do a little “tacking” to get them fixed up so she can wear them without them falling off of her!

Why so serious, sweet girl?!

Love the outfit and the new blog! I especially like the title – “Graham Cracker Crumbs” so cute and catchy!! Very creative! Love seeing all the updates and new pictures of the kids. I have to admit that I clicked on that part at the top that says next blog, and did a little peering into some other lives – of total strangers! Very interesting to read! Life can be so different from one part of the country to another (actually from one house to another). BUT…..I am not hooked, except on yours and possibly Lisas, love to keep up with Avery and Kaylen as well. Feel like they are a part of our life too as your families are so close. Thanks. Love, Mom

    So Grandma,
When is it that you are coming to stay with Avery and Kaylen? I feel like you are a part of our lives too, and I’ll never forget when Bethany’s dad took Avery from me so that I could eat (back in her extremely fussy days) when we were eating dinner with you guys on Summertree Ct. and she immediately calmed down!!
next time Bethany is home, we will have to get down to see you all!
    love,
    Lisa
p.s. I love the Graham Cracker Crumbs” too, where did you get that idea? he he!

Oh look…two of my favorite people commented in the same post! YEAH! I too will never forget that dinner on Summertree Court…Gentry was all of 30 hours old (seriously!!) and I was about as tired and fussy as Avery! :) Thank goodness the grandma’s and papa whipped up some meatballs for us all!

And giving credit where credit is due…Lisa came up with “Graham Cracker Crumbs!” What a catchy little name!! LOVE IT!

This is bringing back very fond memories of “Summertree Ct”, it was fun to go up and visit you guys there. Not that Phoenix isn’t fun, we just can’t go often enough. You had such a close knit little neighborhood, too bad things have to change.
But… life goes on and you hang on to what was the most important there – the lifelong friends you made. Yes, that was quite a day, Gentry came home and we were out shopping when she was less than 24 hrs old… you handled childbirth quite well!! And Avery was such a cutie, and Dad can almost always get little girls to like him! What a fun time. Is very cold and nasty here, north wind is howling! But, thank goodness we didn’t get snow. Udall got hit by high winds, Dad went out last night and is very busy today, what a week to have to leave town! Ha! Talk to you soon, Love, Mom
