As some of you may know, we loaded up and headed to a spring training baseball game last night! I have not been to a baseball game in YEARS…which means that the kids have obviously never been to one! Anyway, to say they had a wonderful time would not do it justice! They absolutely LOVED it! Huntler was so excited once we were parked and walking in that he could literally not contain himself! Every person we passed he told we were going to the game! Many of them were older, so they of course got a kick out of him! I will say that he didn’t quite “get it” though once we were in! Chris took him to a basketball game while we were back in KS over Christmas (with Bert and Kay Kay!) and I think he was expecting something more like that. However, he did have a fun time and told me so over and over again as I was carrying him to the car when we were leaving. (You may be wondering why I was carrying a three year old…I was freezing and he was moving at a snails pace so I lifted him up and toted him out!)
Anyway, back to the game! Gentry was the center of attention of all those around us! She always makes herself known, but she was in P*R*I*M*E form last night! Whenever the music would blare over the speakers she would dance and boogie like crazy! It was HILARIOUS!! She knows she is cute so she really hams it up! I wonder if she’ll be the same when she gets older???
Anyway, we had lawn tickets which was perfect for us and the munchkins! We had a blanket spread out and another to cover up with and we were able to stretch and the kids didn’t have to sit on one little section of metal bleachers for the entire evening!! I would highly recommend this route to anyone with small children!!
During the 7th Inning Stretch there was a fireworks show and after that we made a loop around the stadium and headed out!

Here it is…P*R*O*O*F!! Proof that my darling daughter does in fact get dirty and messy…and in public places too! Yes, she is normal!! And yes, so am I! So, don’t let the fact that we are generally all “put together” fool you! That is because we are out…if we have no plans and aren’t having company, we wear our jammies all day and the kids look something like this!!
Who says you have to have hotdogs at a ball game?? Five dollar hamburgers are just as tasty!

I love all the pics and hearing how the kids enjoyed the whole event. Huntler’s pics always show his innocence and Gentry’s always seem to show her playfulness. That is a GREAT picture of Huntler with the sun and the cotton candy. Prize winning! The one with the mustache is cute too. Some of Gentry’s pictures make me think of Taverli. The kids are growing way too fast! I miss being there. Love, Gwamma
