So…here I am again! I know I mentioned yesterday that I could not for the life of me figure out how to add images from the web to my blog! Well, my wonderful and oh-so computer savvy friend Lisa saved the day! She got me on track, so I am here to share with you my two Etsy purchases! Did I mention that I LOVE Etsy?! It is my new addiction! And most of the time I just browse!! Lots of talent out there! And inspiration!
Anyway, here is the series of prints I ordered for our laundry room. I L*O*V*E them and the designer was fabulous to work with! She is from the UK…I know we buy stuff from other countries all the time, but it is kinda neat because they have a history!! Here is her link if you want to check out her shop! This series is called “Playing in Love” but she has tons of others too!
And here is the oh-so fun and whimsical fabric to cover those canvases that will be on the wall by the stairway! Both items have shipped, so hopefully by this weekend we’ll be able to get up our new art! And here is the link to the fabric shop if you want to browse through their selection! I am currently on this orange, brown and light-bright blue kick! And birds…yes, those whimsical birds are EVERYWHERE I look these days!! I am thinking my Six on Saturday may have to be several of my favorite Etsy shops!!
So today has been another busy day of painting like a crazy girl! The wall that this fabric is going on went so quickly and smoothly that I felt like I could take on another project already, so I did! The wall between the kids’ room (a hallway) is now Ground Nutmeg. The two walls at the ends of the hall were already this shade, but we decided to make the whole hallway that color…clear as mud?? I’ll try to take pics this weekend and walk you through it!! And the wall by the stairs is Dried Leaf!! We have LOTS of earthy tones around here…with the colors of our carpet and tile, we pretty much have to! But, we love it! I tried to paint our downstairs bath this fun, happy, bright mango right after we moved…SOOOO SOOOO SOOOOOOOO NOT good! I had to repaint it….a light, warm purple. So I learned the hard way (after 6 coats of paint in a tiny, hot, hard to paint bathroom!!) that we just can’t do electric colors around here!
