What A Difference a Day Makes!

Well, my friends, it is F*I*N*A*L*L*Y Friday!! Whew! I didn’t think I would make it to see the end of the this week, but I did and as I type this morning I am in a great mood! The kids and Chris are all still fast asleep and the sound of peace and quiet is quite nice!!

Chris got home around 6:00 last night which is far better than 7:00 and came bearing supper. Fastest way to make me forget my troubles is with some curly fries and a cherry turnover from Arby’s! Well, not really, but MY OH MY how I LOVE cherry turnovers and curly fries! And then I found myself doing what my parents used to do…
Our turnovers were in a separate bag on the table and the kids were oblivious. I was planning to wait until they were in bed to get mine out…you know, so I didn’t have to share!! But then Chris told Huntler to bring him the bag and the kids were instantly hooked! I remember a time or two going to Wichita with my parents (the biggest city close to my hometown) and my parents thinking my sis and I were asleep in the back and ordering turnovers for themselves! I had a little flashback last night as all this occurred!
Anyway, last night was better. Chris was home and we swam with the kids and just had a much better evening. Well, I didn’t swim because I freeze when the sun isn’t beating on me, but I sat on the side and watched and talked! So here is to hoping that today is better than yesterday and Chris doesn’t spend the entire weekend working!!
And while on the subject, I should probably say that I KNOW I don’t have it rough at all compared to a lot of people. I do realize that and for that I am grateful. It is just that I am not used to him being gone soooo much and it is hard to get used to that when it has never been that way before. Don’t get me wrong, he has always worked from home and spent way more than 40 hours in the office, but not nearly as many hours as he has spent the last few weeks.
So thanks sweet friends for all your kind words…comments and e-mails. I am amazed at how blogging has increased my circle of friends and what a connection I feel to so many of  you! I am encouraged and inspired by my internet friends just as much as I am by my “real” friends. What a great world we live in to be able to connect with so many people in so many areas of the world. Just think for a second about how amazing that is!!
Ok…whew, I am chatty today! No distractions and the words are pouring out of me!!
So all week I have been diligently entering my name in giveaway after giveaway! Yeah, that’s right…LOTS and LOTS of giveaways!!

    Bethany,
When I read your post yesterday – you actually made me cry. I could feel you were in pain and just needed it to release. Thank you for sharing with us.

I didn’t know what to say to comfort you — I kept thinking of clever encouraging thoughts and sweet sentiments, without being cheesy, but then I remembered…sometimes it’s really not what you say, it’s just letting a friend know you care for them and are there for them.

So, I hope you know how much your friendship in this little bloggy world means to me and I am wishing you brighter, happier days and that these moments of struggle will pass soon, but make your family and marriage stronger and better than ever before.

    :)

I’m glad you are having a much better day! We all have those bad days or weeks. Tye works crazy hours sometimes, too. And a lot of the times he does this, it is a last minute thing that changes plans (or my attitude)quickly! I feel your pain. Hang in there, it can’t last forever. Brandy

    Hi Bethany!
I am so glad to hear you are doing so much better today! I understand how your feeling lately Tony has been working non-stop hours! And without all the everyday drama going on around here it only adds to the stress! Call me if you ever need me! Hope everything works out

    Cute camera strap!

I totally get what you are feeling about hubby being away alot. Dr. Hubby leaves at 8AM and doesn’t get in til 7PM at the earliest. It is usually later! Sometimes 10 PM! It stinks!
