Christmas Jammies

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their kind words and all the fabulous comments {and emails} about my photo shoot with Gentry and my new photography venture! Just out of curiosity, did anyone have trouble reading the logo? It was brought to my attention that the “H” may look like an “M.” I of course don’t see that, but I also know what it says!! Let me know if you had any trouble reading it!!
Okay, so each year since Huntler was born we have bought the kids “special” Christmas jammies! As in, slightly expensive yet super cute, jammies! Although Carter’s are my absolute faves when it comes to everyday pj’s, they just don’t have what I am after when it comes to Christmas! After just a couple of stops on my “internet shopping trip,” I found what I wanted at Gap. How incredibly cute are these?!!

I happen to have a 30% off coupon code so I even scored these great jammies at a discount!! Now let’s just hope I ordered the right size! It always scares me to order online because you NEVER know how things are going to fit! I mean, Gentry was wearing her size 6-12 month Gap pajamas from her first Christmas last winter still!! But it seems to me like Gap runs small in everything else?!! Who knows! Once I have them in my hot little hands I am going to whip her up some matching hair accessories! She and Huntler had the exact same pair of pajamas last year and someone thought she was a BOY on the Polar Express! Are you kidding me? She looked nothing like a boy!!
Anyway, I have been trying to stay off the computer (shopping wise anyway) because if I don’t SEE all this fabulous stuff, then I don’t know what I am missing out on! This troubled economy is putting some kinks in my shopping life!! However, I was clicking around on Gap’s site and came across a couple of other fun goodies that made it into and out of my shopping cart several times, but eventually I checked out without getting them!
Although these hats are DARLING, really, we live in the desert. When are they going to need fur? Like twice a winter. So, I once again exerted some self control and left them there for someone else! That being said, if either Grandma is interested in getting the munchkins these hats for Christmas, I am completely okay with that! I’ll even provide you with the sizes…and the discount code if you order in the next couple of days!!

However, I did end up getting this hat and matching scarf for Huntler. I like it WAY better than the hat I got him earlier this week at The Children’s Place, so I am taking that stuff back.

So speaking of Christmas, I got this “ingenious” idea this morning that I would try to find Splatter and Dodge for Huntler. If you don’t have a kiddo into Thomas and Friends, you probably have NO clue who these guys are, but they are the trusty friends of Diesel 10. Just so happens that Diesel 10 is Huntler’s all time favorite train. He eats with him, sleeps with him, takes him to school {but leaves him in the car} and hauls him all over creation. As I type, the kids and Chris are at the store and Diesel 10 was stuffed in Huntler’s pocket!! His partner in crime changes daily {because two trains are more fun to carry around than one}, but Diesel 10 stays the same!
Anyway, Huntler has a couple of other trains that he “pretends” are Splatter and Dodge. And he is fine with that. I really don’t think he even knows we could actually get the real ones!! Well, we COULD get them if we want to pay an arm and a leg!! Hello!!

They are both retired and extremely hard to find!! Obviously…I was on E-bay today and the new in box sets are selling for a fortune! As in one set sold for $192 and another one is listed at $109. The used ones (such as this picture) are selling upwards of $40! This is for the wooden ones…there was a set of die cast guys that sold for just $20 a couple of weeks ago. I can do $20…maybe even a tiny bit more {it is for Christmas after all!}, but $109??? So, I guess if anyone out there just happens to have a Splatter and Dodge just laying around, let me know!! I know one little boy who would love to see them come Christmas morning!!
Well, on that crazy note I should get! Chris’ grandpa is coming to stay for the weekend and will be getting here soon. I am not sure what we have planned for the weekend, but I probably won’t be on the computer too much!! Hope you all have a great weekend though and I’ll be back soon!

I wasn’t going to say it, but since you ask…yes, I did think it was an “M” at first. My eyes kept going to the “y” because I was wondering why you made the name Missy Fits instead of Missfits because it seemed to aim more toward girl clients. It probably took me about 10 seconds before I remembered that you had told me it was “Hissy Fits” and then I could see the “h”. So, for someone who hasn’t heard the name before, it might take a little longer. Brian also said it was a little hard to read.

Hmmm!! I am going to have to think about this logo business! I totally only see “Hissyfits” but like I said, I KNOW what it is!! The font is what makes it though in my mind…believe me, you should have seen some of the other fonts! This one totally goes with it!!

Wonder if by having my email on it which will say hissyfitsphotography in regular font if that will help? Guess we’ll have to play with it this weekend! Glad I mentioned it! And nothing has been printed yet so all is well!

I see hissyfits..but again, I know what it says also. I will ask Willie and my mother in law, who haven’t seen it and will get back to you!
And..I’ll be on the look-out for diesel’s buddies!!
Have a good weekend! I owe you an email too!

How odd. . .I can only see Hissyfits when I look at it, but then I know what it says from talking to you. Either way its still adorable. Can you put a capital “H” I know what you were going for, but maybe that would make it easier to read?

Does he still need Murdock? I hope so. . .
    talk to you soon,
    love ya,
    Lisa

I only see “h” in the logo. To be honest… I went back and looked at it after I read your blog… and I couldn’t even see an “m” at all. So then I had Matt come look at it. He read hissyfits too… but he could see where some saw the m. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Lovin’ the Christmas jammies! They’re adorable!!

I’m not sure what to tell you about your logo. I only saw and “H”…but I already knew what it said from our emails. Looking back at it, it might sorta look like an “M”, but I think it’s fine. People will know what it is, and having your email on there or website in plain font will help.

Have a great nigh! Love ya

Hey! To be honest I did think that “h” was an “m” but I thought Missyfits was cute too….now that I know it is an “h” that is what I see, but it did take me a minute to see that.

I just snagged that train pair on a clearance shelf ($12)at a local toy store…I had no idea they were so valuable!! :) Maybe they need to go on ebay and I can get ten times as many for my son for Christmas!!

I love those Christmas PJ’s. I always get Ethan X-mas PJs every year too. And I am a total hat freak…..I love these.
