WHEW! So here they are…my sweet little goblins all dressed up and decked out on Halloween night! The weather was beautiful {where else can you wear a tutu dress at the end of October and be perfectly comfortable?!!}, the kids were great, the evening perfect!!
Way back in August I blogged about Gentry’s Elmo costume I ordered off of Etsy. I had all these visions of Huntler being Cookie Monster or Big Bird and keeping a theme. Didn’t happen. So, what did Huntler REALLY want to be? A giraffe. A really cute, yet really expensive, Pottery Barn Kids giraffe. I hopped online about three weeks ago and saw that this oh-so coveted giraffe was on sale for $45. I could do that. But WHY was it on sale?! Oh, that was because it was only available in like two sizes, neither of which was the one we needed!! So, back to square one…Target here we come.
For anyone who knows me, I am high maintenance when it comes to costumes. I like unique. And I like high quality. Although Target had some cute stuff {especially for girls!}, I was not seeing anything I loved. And neither was Huntler at first. But then he saw it…James the red engine from Thomas and Friends. There was no looking back…he would be James for Halloween!
Here are a couple more. They were really overexposed for some reason {I am sure it was because I was rushing around trying to get everything ready for our block party!} so I had to convert them to black and white to salvage them, but they aren’t “too” bad {from the non-professional point of view}!!
And here is our little Elmo girl!!
And just a couple more from the night!
And a peaceful moment of the kids together…Poor Huntler got a face full of tulle every time they were riding together!!
We had a wonderful time! The kids really enjoyed it this year and {LOVED} getting all the candy…especially Gentry. I had to hide it first thing this morning so they weren’t into it before breakfast!!

Sooo cute! I like creative too..but we both know they are going to have their own opinions…I gave in this year as well and let Jackson choose. Glad you all had fun! I love Halloween!
Very cute! Couldn’t believe how warm it was last night! I worked up a sweat just walking down the block!
So you’re going to laugh when you read my email. I didn’t read this until after I sent it.
You do know that I can make those tutus right? (And this is one area where I know mine would pass the Bethany quality test:) Tutus aren’t rocket science or photography science as the case may be;)
Can you believe it was in the 70s here?! We were hot too! I can’t ever remember being hot on Halloween. Snow? Yes. Hot? No.
Glad you had a fun time! Talk to you soon,
love ya,
Lisa
James and Elmo are darling, love the fluffy tutu! I think the James costume is cute B, at least they are not that cheap plastic any more like when you were little. Papa thought they were adorable too, I showed him last night and he even had his glasses on when he looked so I know he was really seeing! Hope you are having a good day! Love you all, Grandma and Papa
Very cute! Glad you all had a good time. Makes for a nice memory. Good to talk to you today. Hope you have a great week! Love, Grandma Debbie
Your little ones look sooo cute! Our friend’s son had the same costume as Huntler and when I saw him I said “Hi Thomas.” He rolled his eyes and said “Duh, I’m James.” I wanted to roll my eyes back at him and say “Duh, I have daughters.” but I refrained.
oh Bethany way too cute hahaha loving that handbag awesome stuff
