There once was a time where the weeks drug by…not so much anymore!! I have days where I am literally calling Chris every 15 minutes to find out when he’ll be home, but for the most part, the time just flies!! I think it seems especially crazy around the holidays!!
So if you happen to read my Twitter updates, you may see that I rambled on about having to go to the doctor this afternoon. I had an ingrown toenail {this is far too often of an occurrence for me…I HAVE to stop cutting my toenails so stinking short!!}…or so I thought. I guess when I awoke at 3:30 this morning and decided to take a hot bath and hack into it myself, I managed to get the ingrown part out…what I was feeling today was just “residual pain” from messing with it. So now I am on antibiotics because it looks a twinge infected and I am supposed to soak my foot in epsom salt until my nail grows back! Yeah right…like I’ll still be soaking my foot in six weeks!
I must say my feelings were not one bit hurt when the doc said he thought I took care of it…my method is most certainly not as painful as shots in a toe to numb it! OUCH!!
The crazy part of this story is that Gentry girl woke up at 3:45 AM and wandered in to watch me. We were still up at 4:30 and just as we were getting back to sleep, in comes Huntler in tears. Needless to say, I am flat worn out tonight!! So I think I am off to watch a little General Hospital on DVR and get some sleep!!

I too struggled for years with ingrown toenails and unless you have been there you don’t understand how bad they hurt!!! I have had many shots in my toe and I would rather give birth any day of the week!!

looking at your pic of Huntler (if those are your toes) then yes, too short indeed. Some people are prone to it but at least you know now not to mess around with those cutters.
