Hey friends!! Just to warn you, my posts will probably be pretty sporadic until the party is over! I have obviously done a TON of work already and could have it tomorrow and everything would seriously be fine and dandy! But in true Bethany style, there are lots of details I am still working on to give it that extra little “pop” so the next few days will continue to be busy!! LOVE it. This is the best theme ever and I am having more fun than I can even begin to share!
But I need some help! First of all, punch recipes. I have been wanting a punch bowl for years now and we finally got one a few months ago. I know I could turn to the trusty old world wide web and find a TON of recipes, but I thought maybe some of you had good ones you would love to share? I prefer something light in color. Also in true Bethany style, I want to avoid stains…on clothes and the carpet!! Ideas for fun ice cubes or anything? Tell me your secrets!!
Second of all…there will be a bean bag toss. The bean bags are going to be shaped like little wrapped candies. Uber cute!! But I have yet to figure out what they will be tossed into? I was thinking creating a little wooden box with a plexiglass window and awning {like a store front} would be about the cutest thing ever, but I would need Chris’ help for that and I already have him working on other projects for me and don’t want to overwhelm him! I have tons of my trusty galvanized buckets which I could jazz up and would be a heck of a lot easier, but does anyone have any fun ideas?
Oh, and did I mention that I need these ideas yesterday? The party is just 9 days away now!! EEK! I have had more emails than I can count on this bash and am seriously hoping to have the entire post on it created and done on the 19th or 20th of July. I KNOW that some of you are having your Sweet Shoppe parties in August and that is cutting it super close, but I just have so many irons in the fire right now that I am not sure I can get it ready any sooner!
And what is a post without a picture? This is a snapshot of the girly cousins at our 4th of July bash!! Are they not the cutest? I would SO be in trouble if we had more than one girl…could you imagine having to buy two of everything? Yikes! Anyway, I did something I haven’t done since I learned to shoot in manual…I flipped the camera back to automatic and just snapped away and enjoyed myself the entire evening! Tons of fun!
And thanks in advance for any and all of the ideas you share!! I really appreciate it!!

I was picturing tossing them into big glass candy jars.
For the candy store idea, you could make the store front out of a big wooden board with the awning on top and paint the candy jars in rows in the “window”. Then, just cut out some holes above three or four of the jars! I can picture it perfectly in my mind, but not sure if I’m explaining it very well.
To make fun ice cubes use a baking mold. I make gingerbread men ice cubes when I had my son’s 1st birthday party. Good luck!
well this might not be the best punch but it will prevent stains. just take the clear kool aid and mix it with sprite or 7 up. your punch will be clear and i think the flavor is cherry.
you could float something in it to make it look prettier.
Can you freeze pieces of candy into the ice cubes? Like a jelly bean, a gum drop or something colorful like that?
Ohhh….so what if I made a peppermint punch? MMM!! I was thinking of serving peppermint ice cream, but now I think that a punch would be fun too!!
Ya, so…the creative part of my brain is totally drained right now! I’m not much help for your party planning questions. I think the galvanized buckets all decorated up would be adorable for the bean bag toss. But I know whatever you come up with will be perfect! I’ll look through my punch recipes and email you if I find a good one for ya!
Love the pictures
Hope you had a great time with all your family. I can’t wait to see more. Good luck with all the party planning! Love you~
I was thinking gummy worms or gummy bears in ice cubes made maybe apple juice, so it doesn’t dilute your punch. Lots of silicone shapes out there right now too.
BTW cah-ute picture!!!
