Perspective

So after what has been a not so fabulous week, I am looking forward to a wonderful weekend! It is easy to get in a rut and feel sorry for myself and gripe and complain because I am in a funk and can’t seem to get my act together. Yet when I snap out of my pity party, I realize how truly blessed I am. Sure, I am entitled to have a yucky day or few days now and then, but I have a LOT to be grateful.

I’ll leave you with a few of the things I am grateful for on this Friday morning! I’m taking the weekend off of blogging but I’ll be back Monday!

  • My sweet, sweet husband! For the first time in ages last night we snuggled up and watched a movie and I managed to make it through the ENTIRE thing! We’ve tried before but I can never, ever make it past the first twenty minutes! Last night must have been a good one because I was still wide awake as the credits were rolling! We watched Seven Pounds in case you are curious. It was deep, emotional and not quite what I was expecting, but it sucked us both in!
  • Beautiful, happy, healthy kids. They love me no matter what…it just doesn’t get much better than that!
  • My health. Although I struggle with the fact that I will never be as toned as I want to be, I have been blessed with a healthy, strong body. I take it for granted and gripe often because it isn’t “perfect,” but the truth of the matter is, it is pretty perfect when you consider what others are fighting daily.
  • Friends and family, near and far, who are too sweet for words.

I think we all have a lot to be grateful for! It is easy to think that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, but that isn’t always the case! After taking a break from my camera and Photoshop this week, I am feeling inspired again! Hope to get my three loves out this weekend {around water of course!!} and freeze more moments in time!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Bethany, I have not commented in a long. long time because I somehow had your old blog bookmarked and was not looking at your new blog until just recently. You are such an awesome photographer! I sure do wish that you lived in Altanta! I would want you to take pictures of my daughter in a heartbeat.

I wanted to let you know that I just bought the 50 mm 1.8 canon lense that you recommended to me a year ago. I love it! I am also in the process of looking for a Sigma 24-70 mm f/2.8 on ebay.

I have emailed Sheye Rosemeyer to let her know that I am interested in her Explore workshop. I have not heard back from her yet, and I bet that there is probably a waiting list.

I have a question for you that you might be able to answer for me: Are the eye candy actions that are $95.00 included as part of the workshop that you took? I do not think that they are but in the description for the workshop Sheye wrote “New for 2009: You will also have access to Eye Candy 101 – a comprehensive data base filled with everything photography including hundreds of tips from Sheye.” I am pretty sure that the eye candy actions and eye candy 101 are two different things. I would like to go ahead and buy the actions since it might be a while until I can take the workshop.

    Thanks!
    Natasha
