Ten on Tuesday: The Snapshot Version

So last week I had some friends over for a night of bow making fun! We ate, we chatted and we well, made bows! Where I am going with this is that one of these sweet girls asked if I have regular ‘ole snapshots of my kids! And the answer is without a doubt YES!! I take hundreds, thousands actually, of photos but only blog a handful of them! Not every image I take is one I want to spend time editing, let alone share! I just post the ones I love and spend time on for all to see!

However, because I still have pictures from this summer I want to get to, I am going to post ten random snapshots from our Cali trip here for your viewing pleasure! HA! I simply don’t have the time or energy to edit all of these and there is really no need…they won’t be printed huge and hung on the wall so I may as well leave them as is!

So here they are in their unedited, uncropped and unstraightened glory!! SCARY!! I guess if nothing else you’ll see that a lot of time is in fact spent editing from what you see here to what I normally post!

On our first full day there, we hit up Birch Aquarium, met with Julie and then ventured to the beach!

My thoughts: The aquarium was overpriced for what you saw, Julie rocks and the beach was a bust because we hadn’t been there 10 minutes when it started raining. The rain got harder and harder and by the time we packed up and made it to the car, everyone was pretty wet…except for me who is always cold and had a hoodie on!

I know…my littles are so stinkin’ cute you just want to squeeze them, right?! And those knee socks? Love. Notice the bracelets…I had some on that day and had to rifle through the ones I took to find some for the fashionista here!

This would also be the day that Huntler peed his pants. Yep. You read that right. He has been potty trained for two years and NEVER has accidents. Well, my friends, that day he did. At the park…in front of Julie. Wonderful. That would be after he woke up the night before and peed all over the hotel floor. Nice. Or not. But that one wasn’t totally his fault…he was out of it and disoriented and thought he was in the bathroom. I highly recommend never going barefoot in hotels…you have NO clue what has happened on that floor!

Anyway…I am glad I had extra outfits packed that day! We don’t usually take extra clothes anywhere, but I was worried they would get soaked at the beach and need something dry!

Love this shot of my boys!!

I would say that this water table was the hit of the entire aquarium!! The kids {and Chris} loved it! This was right up Huntler’s alley…he could have spent all day forming and reforming the “tracks” and racing boats!!

Here is a beach shot…it was so dark and gloomy! Notice Huntler is no longer in the jeans…they were soaked by this point from his little accident! We asked him CONSTANTLY for the rest of the trip if he needed to potty!

So that Saturday {October 3} we ventured to Legoland. Tons of fun! The kids LOVED every second of it! Well, every second except those where Gentry could be found rolling around on the disgusting asphalt throwing a tantrum because she wasn’t tall enough to ride the rides with the boys and had to hang with me instead. Those weren’t some of our finer moments, but we survived!

Sis and I were taking pics of the boys from our helicopter!

The detail in these Lego structures was amazing! I would NEVER in a million years have the patience for that sort of thing!

Saturday nights in October Legoland has “Brick or Treat.” It was SOOOOOOOO much fun! There were kidlets in costumes everywhere, fun music playing, contests and Trick or Treating! We had a ball!! All of us!! I am so glad we took their costumes so they could participate!

Our hotel was only a block from a pumpkin patch. Since I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch anyway, we decided to just go while we were there! It was close AND it was MUCH cooler and cloudy!! Can’t beat that! Yes, they are totally sporting some fab fall fashions there!

And the apple orchard in Julian…

Proof that I was in fact along on this little journey!! ;)

And that’s it for today! Ten snaps from our California road trip! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday!! It is warming up here again which totally stinks…the high Saturday is 99 but they are saying we might hit that 100 degree mark yet again. Blah!

It looks like you had a great trip (despite the potty accidents)! We would take some of your sun. It is in the 30′s here and it feels like Christmas is tomorrow! I hope fall returns soon!

Oh, I love this post!! Looks like you guys had a great trip, and the snapshots are perfect! That first pictures is just adorable. LOVE Gentry girl’s knee socks and hat! Enjoy your heat wave…send some our way. It’s cloudy, drizzly, dreary and cold here-ugh!

It looks like you guys had a blast. I can’t get over Gentry’s wardrobe. You always have the cutest clothes for her. Snapshots are the best.

Oh how I would love for a little warm up. We have been in the 30′s and 40′s and it’s a little chilly. We even had snow here already. I’m not a fan of it. We have been chilling at home but hope this weekend to venture back out to the pumpkin patch for a quick photoshoot. The weather is suppose to warm up a little.

Enjoy the remainder of the week.

Looks like you guys have a lot of family fun :) . I am 24 years old and I believe your little girl Gentry has a MUCH better wardrobe than me. I am extremely jealous :) . Love the leggings and the braclets. D I V A

Jackson LOVES Legoland and would live there if he could! We’ve been to the aquarium and have the same fun “Jaws” picture! My worst nightmare……

How lucky that you got to meet Julie and vise versa! With the two of you and all your creative genius I’m surprised we didn’t see some kind of colorful cosmic boom over on the West coast :)

Great pictures Bethany! You have such an eye!
