Fifteen Weeks Today

First of all, I want to say thank you to all of you who took the time to comment or email me “congrats” when we announced that we are expecting another  baby! I kinda fell off the face of the earth right after I posted our Christmas card! I was SOOO tired and with the holidays and packing and traveling, life was out of control! Then when we got back to AZ on Saturday, I just jumped into blogging and never went back to mention it! So thanks again…I truly appreciate all of your well wishes!

It is crazy to me to think that I am already 15 weeks along with Baby #3! My how the time FLIES when you have the holidays thrown in there! Add in two busy kids and there is hardly a moment to even remember you are pregnant. Oh, unless you count those moments every.single.morning where you wish like crazy that your skinny jeans would still go over your rear end and that you could still wear your favorite zip up hoodie without it being so snug when zipped that you can hardly move! Then you definitely remember you are pregnant!

15Weeks

Taking photos of myself is less than fun for me. Taking photos of myself pregnant ranks even lower! I wanted to post the shot where I sucked in and looked kinda cute, but that wouldn’t be keeping it real, now would it? ;) So this is me…taken this morning and about as current as you get!

I know what those of you who saw me in Kansas are thinking: “What happened to you?!” I hid my growing tummy well, didn’t I? What can I say…it was cold and I wore lots of layers! I probably look huge to you here! And although that was JUST last week, I have reached the point since we have been home where I can no longer where my jeans. As in they will pull up but only barely and they certainly aren’t comfortable! Having a second layer of skin in the form of denim is not my idea of cool. So…thank goodness I have velour jogging pants in tan, brown, black, navy, pink AND green that I can rely on to get me through to spring when I can wear cute sundresses! Until then, I’ll just look like a slob! Oh okay, I’ll go get a pair of maternity jeans next time I am close to Old Navy!!

I continue to feel great. I thought my exhaustion was on its way out the window but it appears that was a false alarm! Not sure if it is all the travel and chaos or if I am really just still worn out. Growing a baby is hard work!! Needless to say, I am still going to bed early and catching a nap here and there! I am so, so lucky that Huntler and Gentry are old enough to entertain themselves on those days where I just can’t keep my eyes opened! There have been several occasions where I have totally fallen asleep and left them playing…only to wake up and tell them to stop fighting and be nice as I drift back off to sleep!

I have no gut feelings as to whether this one is a boy or a girl! At first I was absolutely convinced it was another girl based on what I was craving {meat again}, but I have since thrown that theory out the window as I have also craved a few of the things I did with Huntler. And then there is my skin. Gentry girl was cruel to me…my face was so dry but still broken out. With Huntler…no issues at all. This time? It IS dry, but that is the weather. Otherwise it is good. We still are NOT finding out what we are having! It really does not matter one bit to us! Our only prayer is for a healthy baby.

Hmmm…I think that about covers it? I am feeling much better after my pity party of a day yesterday. I guess we all have those though, don’t we? From Thanksgiving through the time we left for Kansas there was so much to look forward to and do in anticipation of our trip. Everything from Black Friday shopping to my parents coming out and surprising me to wrapping gifts and packing. And then we were home for two weeks. Friends, family, cold weather…everything I love and miss. Every time company leaves or we come back to Arizona from a trip, there is such a letdown. Everything that we had been so excited for and anticipating is suddenly over and we are left in the dust. Back to the normal, boring routine. And quite frankly – it sucks. A lot. I so desperately have my heart set on living in Kansas again that each trip back to Arizona seems to be getting harder and harder. I don’t cry saying good bye like I used to, but oh how I dread coming back here. I wish it were different. I wish I could be happy and upbeat and excited to return, but I’m not. Yes, it is nice to be back in our own house and our routine, if only that house and routine were in Kansas. Each road trip the mile markers seem further apart and the journey even longer…

Until tomorrow…
